Odyssey of the Seas begins its premiere season in Haifa


March 2, 2021 - Royal Caribbean announces that the brand new Odyssey of the Seas will make tours of the Mediterranean Sea from Haifa / Israel in the summer of 2021. The trips are offered as three- and seven-night trips. According to the press release, Israeli citizens vaccinated against COVID-19 will be the first to travel on the new ship.

The of Haifa outgoing tours lead to Greek destinations such as Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos and Athens. The Odyssey of the Seas also calls at Limassol in Cyprus. The trips can be booked from March 9th. Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, insists on declaring that sea voyages from Israel have been on the shipping company's radar for some time. Royal Caribbean appreciates the cooperation and the confidence placed in the shipping company by the Israeli government. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu added that it was only the country's effective vaccination program that made the trips possible. And further: “Israel is a worldwide model of success. We are continuing our program ... so that we can leave the COVID-19 virus behind us in peace. Just as we made Israel the world champion in vaccination, the country will become the world champion in the areas of economy and tourism in the post-Corona era ”.

Royal Caribbean says it will be the first shipping company to offer trips exclusively to people vaccinated against COVID-19. This statement includes crew members and guests (age limit 16 years). More details on the framework conditions will be announced at a later date.
