Hapag Lloyd orders third expedition ship

July 3, 2018 - Hapag Lloyd Cruises yesterday ordered a third expedition cruise ship from the Norwegian VARD shipyard. Pojer speaks of the need to strengthen the shipping company's leading position in the market segment with the third new building. What is new is that the HANSEATIC spirit will be the first ship in the Hapag Lloyd fleet to be designed exclusively for adults.

The new buildings, equipped with the latest technology and environmental technology, have the highest ice class for passenger ships (PC6). It is planned to use them in the polar regions of the Arctic and Antarctic as well as in hot water destinations such as the Amazon.
