A total of 2,7 million man-hours were required over the past three years to turn the ship into a hotel spanning 13 decks. Many of the original furnishings have been preserved. Several previous attempts at conversion failed. In the first phase of the soft opening, five of the planned 13 restaurants and bars will be open. From October 2018 the hotel will run at full speed.
