Costa Cruises is the official cruise line of the Ryder Cup 2023. The Ryder Cup is the most important team competition in golf and will be held for the first time in Italy, from September 29th to October 1st, 2023, at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome.

With the announcement of this exclusive partnership, Costa is also introducing a new offering specifically designed for golf fans and their families: the new “Cruise & Golf” offer on board the Costa Smeralda, fans of the sport have the opportunity to playing at some of the finest golf clubs in Italy, France and Spain during cruise calls. At the same time, families on vacation can enjoy the service on board or discover exciting places on excursions organized by the shipping company. Costa Cruises' new "Cruise & Golf" offer will be available from May 2022 on Costa Smeralda's week-long Western Mediterranean cruises. destinations are all in the province of Savona , Marseille, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Palermo and Civitavecchia / Rome. Bookings are possible from February 1st. To take advantage of the new offer, guests book just a cruise on the Costa Smeralda and add one of the two golf packages to your booking. The packages include three or four "green fees" for access to some of the most famous and popular golf clubs in the Mediterranean.

Selected golf clubs in Italy include 'Marco Simone', the official venue of the 2023 Ryder Cup; "Golf Nazionale", the Technical Center of the Italian Golf Federation; "Olgiata Golf", which has hosted the Italian Open several times; "Acquasanta Golf", one of the oldest golf clubs in Italy. In Spain: the “Real Club de Golf El Prat”, where the Spanish Open has already been held 10 times; the “PGA de Catalunya”, the number 1 golf club in Spain and one of the four best in Europe; the "Son Gual", which is one of the best golf clubs in continental Europe; "Alcanada", a golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones with stunning views of the sea. In France: the “Golf d'Aix Marseille” where the most prestigious national tournaments are held; the "Golf Bastide de la Salette" with spectacular views of the Garlaban mountain range and Marseille; the "Golf d'aix-en-Provence" and the "Golf Sainte Baume". The "Marco Simone", the "PGA de Catalunya" and the "Alcanada" are offered at an additional cost that will be added when booking the package.

Costa Cruises' "Cruise & Golf" offer allows golf lovers to enjoy a real "Easy Golf" experience. Because in addition to the "green fees", the offer includes a number of special services that enable guests to enjoy the golf and cruise experience with all the amenities. These include, for example, a special transfer from the ship to the golf club and back, priority embarkation and disembarkation at the beginning and end of the cruise, bespoke transport and storage of golf equipment on board, and a welcome pack in the cabin.
