The Celebrity Apex is one of four ships in the new Celebrity Edge class. The ships are built by the French shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire. The cruise ships, each 306 meters long and measured at 130.818 GT, are - how could it be otherwise - described by the shipping company as revolutionary. Airy design, lots of glass and sophisticated design elements make staying on board a real pleasure for all the senses, according to the shipping company.

The "Parabolic Ultrabow" hull design, specially developed for the Edge class, offers passengers a comfortable sea voyage in heavy waves. The slim silhouette also saves fuel. The characteristic feature of the Edge series is the "Magic Carpet". This flexible outdoor platform is used depending on the time of day and need on the top level as additional room or as a comfortable starting point on the bottom level for tender maneuvers. New culinary experiences, wellness offers and entertainment programs make the Celebrity Apex unique.

After its commissioning in April 2020, the Celebrity Apex will spend its first short season in Northern Europe. In the summer months she cruises in the Mediterranean with stays of seven to twelve nights. Destinations are Lisbon, Istanbul, Monte Carlo, Cannes and France. In the winter season starting in November 2020, the ship will go on one-week Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale / Fl. used.
